| Office hours
The Advanced ROS office is open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00
p.m., Monday through Friday. Treatment times may extend beyond these
hours. Dr. Gerstley and Dr. Torrey, work together
closely to provide you the care you need. Scheduling issues may
make it necessary to see one or the other physician in the event
you require immediate attention. Physician consultation and follow-up
appointments are made through the front desk staff (Marilyn or Michelle).
Appointments for treatment planning (CT simulation) or treatment
times are made with your radiation therapist or Chief Therapist
(Andrew). If you are not sure what your next appointment entails
or have any questions pertaining to your care, please speak to the
nursing staff (Chris or Tootie).
After Hours
If you call our office (845-727-0828) after hours,
you will be connected to our answering service. The service will
contact the physician on call, who will return your call. If your
concerns can wait until morning, please call our office directly.
If it is an emergency and you require immediate medical assistance,
please go directly to the nearest emergency room.
Treatment Hours
Treatment times may extend beyond our regular office
hours. We will try to give you appointment times that work best
with your schedule. Please understand that many patients are receiving
treatment and that there may be a limited number of available of
treatment times at the start of your therapy. The technical aspects
of your treatment might require a limited option for treatment times
as well. If you require coordination of your treatment time with
chemotherapy, we will work closely with your Medical Oncologist
and make the appropriate arrangements.
Medical Problems or Questions
Please feel free to call us or speak to us when you
are here to discuss any of your concerns. We ask that you discuss
all medical concerns with the nursing staff (Chris or Tootie) as
they will act as liaison for the physician. This could include symptom
management, clearance for treatment, prescription renewals, exam
scheduling and other questions for the physician.
Patient Education
We will provide you with specific information regarding
your treatment. You will receive an information packet from the
nurses at the time of your simulation or radiation planning. Additional
information is available to you in the Cancer Center library located
across the hall from our office. The Cancer Center library offers
books and pamphlets on both traditional and complementary cancer
care as well as Internet access.
Financial Services
We participate in most insurance plans and Medicare.
To help us effectively assist you, please provide us with your complete,
correct and current insurance information. We have financial services
help available at our office as well as at our main billing office
(877-584-1616). The financial service professional at Advanced ROS
is Patti. She is available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through
Friday and can be reached at (845) 727-0828. If Patti is unavailable
and you have received a bill, please call the phone number on the
bill (877-584-1616). They will be able to address any questions
you have. If you have any changes in your insurance or work status, please
notify the front desk at the time of your visit. It is your responsibility
to inform us of any changes in your insurance.
Parking
Parking is free for all patients. You will receive
a pass for the parking lot from the front desk (Marilyn or Michelle)
on your way out. |
